Music Investment Program
Song-Based Capital for Independent Artists & Creators
This program is not a grant, not a loan, and not a record deal.
It is a song-based investment opportunity where independent artists, producers, and songwriters may pitch completed or near-completed songs in exchange for direct capital investment and optional strategic support.
The goal is simple:
Invest in strong songs early and participate fairly in their upside.
Program Overview
Selected songs may receive $100 to $5,000 CAD in funding in exchange for a clearly defined ownership share, which may include:
A portion of the master recording.
A portion of the writer and/or publishing share.
Or a negotiated combination of both.
All ownership terms are discussed in advance and documented in writing.
This is a one-time ownership transaction, not an ongoing obligation.
What This Program Is (and Is Not)
This program is:
Ownership-based investment in individual songs.
Founder-funded (not pooled public money).
Artist-controlled and consent-driven.
Aligned incentives between creator and investor.
This program is NOT:
A government or arts grant.
A loan or recoupable advance.
A record or publishing deal.
A guarantee of revenue, streams, placements, or success.
Use of Funds
Once funding is provided:
The artist may use the funds at their sole discretion.
There are no spending restrictions.
No creative control is transferred.
At the investor’s discretion—and only with artist approval—additional funds may later be deployed for:
Marketing or advertising campaigns.
Release strategy support.
Playlist or distribution assistance.
Sync and licensing submissions.
Any additional funding does not automatically increase ownership unless explicitly renegotiated in writing.
Creative Control & Rights
Artists retain full creative and release control.
No exclusivity is required unless separately agreed.
No obligation to release music on a specific timeline.
No obligation to accept additional funding or support.
This program is designed to support creators, not restrict them.
Who Should Apply
This program is intended for creators who:
Have finished or near-finished songs.
Understand and accept shared ownership.
Are independent or self-released.
Are commercially minded (streaming, sync, or both).
Want aligned capital, not control.
All genres are welcome.
Selection Process
All submissions are reviewed manually.
If a song is selected:
Terms are discussed transparently.
Ownership percentages are agreed upon.
A written agreement is executed.
Funds are released.
There is no obligation to proceed if terms are not mutually acceptable.
