The Teaching Room is led by Umesh Sahajpal, a producer and engineer with over 25 years in the industry, TV placements on BET, CBS and CTV, and multiple years as a Juno Awards judge. But you won't just learn from one person. Sessions and workshops bring in working producers, engineers, songwriters and DJs, people who are active in the industry right now. COMMON QUESTIONS

Good to know before you book.

  • No. If you can hum a melody or write a few lines, we can build from there. Everything else gets taught along the way, exactly when your song needs it.

  • The Song Demo gets your song written, sketched, and sung as a demo in 3 sessions. The Single takes it all the way: full production, complete vocal recording, editing, comping, tuning, and a pro mix and master. If you start with the Demo and upgrade within 60 days, the full $997 comes off the price of The Single.

  • You do. Your song, your voice, your finished master. Release it anywhere, any time. The only exception is the refund: if you take it after the first session, you keep your lyrics and melody, and nothing else has been made yet anyway.

  • It's about 45 minutes. You see the studio, meet Umesh, and we actually start your song so you can feel what a session is like. No pressure and no obligation. If you'd rather think it over after, that's completely fine.

  • Around your life. Evenings and weekends included. Most people do one or two sessions a week.

  • Yes. The Single splits into 3 payments of $999, and The EP into 5 payments of $1,399. The Song Demo is a single payment.
