The Blueprint Certification Programs
The Teaching Room in Edmonton is launching three new 6-week certificate programs: Audio Engineering Blueprint, Music Production Blueprint, and Artist & Songwriting Blueprint.
Each program runs two days a week for three hours a day and offers the flexibility to be taken on its own or combined with the others for a broader learning experience. We offer small class size currently limited to 2 students per class.
Open to all skill levels, these programs provide hands-on training with industry professionals. Upon completion, you’ll earn a professional certificate and gain practical skills to move your music journey forward.
Each Program is 36 Hours of Total Class Time + Alumni Benefits for a total investment of $1800.
We provide a RISK-FREE experience. If after your first class you are unhappy, we will refund you 100%.
When Making Music Feels Overwhelming
You love music and have dabbled with your own beats and songs. But whenever you try to produce on your own, you hit a wall. Maybe you’ve invested in software and watched countless tutorials, yet that knowledge gap ahead feels “debilitatingly ominous”. After an hour of trying to mix or write, you’re exhausted and frustrated instead of energized. The worst part? Your tracks still don’t sound the way you want, and it’s shaking your confidence. You might even wonder, “Is it just me? Does anyone else struggle like this?”
The truth is, you’re not alone. So many aspiring producers feel overwhelmed, stuck, and doubting themselves. One day you’re excited about a new song idea; the next, you’re thinking “I just cannot finish a good song” as yet another project sits half-done. It’s not your fault – you’ve been trying to do it all with no roadmap or feedback.

Why The Teaching Room Over Diploma or Degree Programs?
At The Teaching Room in Edmonton, you get real industry training that goes beyond what most schools offer. Here’s how we’re different:
✅ Real Industry Experience: Learn directly from an instructor with TV credits and professional projects under his belt. Many college instructors don’t have this level of hands-on industry background.
✅ No Wasted Time: Skip semesters full of generic theory. We focus on the essential skills that actually get you results in the studio and the industry.
✅ Fast-Track Learning: In just six weeks, you’ll gain more practical, hands-on skills than many programs cover in a year.
✅ Career-Focused Results: A diploma alone won’t get you hired in music. We help you build a strong portfolio and show you how to turn your skills into real income.
✅ Personalized Training: Choose one-on-one sessions or small group learning tailored to your music and your goals.

FAQs
Do I need any experience or expensive gear to join?
Nope. You can be a total beginner, and we welcome that. We start at your level and help you grow from there. You also don’t need to bring any fancy equipment because our studio has everything you’ll need. Just come with your enthusiasm for music.
Will I get to work on my style of music and my songs?
Absolutely. This whole program is built around your goals. Whether you’re into EDM, rock, hip-hop, or any other genre, we shape the sessions to fit your interests. You’ll work on your own songs or the type of music you’re passionate about, rather than generic textbook exercises. This way, every lesson helps you develop your unique sound.
What if I’m still not sure or it’s not for me?
That’s exactly why we offer the trial class. You’ll get one class, lasting three hours, so you can see if it’s the right fit for you. It’s completely risk-free. If you’re not thrilled by the end of the class, just let us know and we’ll refund your trial fee in full, no questions asked. We’re confident that once you experience The Teaching Room, you’ll finally feel at home in the studio.
How can the program be so affordable compared to other schools?
Because our programs are shorter and focused, you’re not paying for unnecessary extras or long semesters. We also keep costs lower by working in a private studio space instead of big institutional facilities. Our goal is to make high-quality training accessible without huge tuition bills.
Can you really teach me that much in just six weeks?
Absolutely. Because we teach one-on-one or in small groups, every session is focused on what you need most. There’s no wasted time sitting through generic lectures. You’ll be working directly on your own music or skills, which makes progress much faster than in a big classroom setting.
Do I have to commit to a full career in music to take these programs?
Not at all. Many students simply want to improve their skills as a hobby or finish their own songs. Others hope to work professionally. The programs are designed to help you at any level, whether music is a passion project or a career goal.
Why would I need to learn music production when AI can just make music for me?
AI tools can help with ideas, but great music still needs human creativity and emotion. Your unique style, taste, and decisions are what make your music yours. Learning production gives you the skills to shape, edit, and perfect your songs exactly how you want them, instead of sounding like everyone else using the same AI loops. Plus, if you ever want to work professionally, knowing how to produce your own music is a huge advantage.
